About This Coloring Page
A robot is the only thing on this page that a child is allowed to be completely wrong about, because nobody knows what colour a robot is. Every animal sheet carries a quiet correct answer — bears are brown, grass is green — and children who care about getting things right feel it. This one has no correct answer at all, and the difference in how freely they colour is usually visible.
It is also a shape sheet without announcing itself as one. The head is a rectangle, the body is a rectangle, the eyes are circles, the buttons are circles, the arms and legs are stacks of smaller rectangles. A child colouring it is sorting shapes for twenty minutes without being asked to sort anything.
The buildings behind it are drawn flat and simple so they do not compete with the robot. They exist to give it somewhere to be standing, which is the same reason the lion has a rock and the bear has a stream.

How to Use This Coloring Page
- Say there is no wrong colour. Then leave the room. This is the page for that.
- Find every circle on the sheet. Two eyes, three buttons, the antenna tip and the sun. Finding them is easier than naming them and teaches the same thing.
- Count the windows on one building. They are in tidy rows, which makes them the first honest counting-in-rows a child can do unaided.
