Cardinal Coloring Page
About This Coloring Page
The cardinal is the one bird a child can spot in winter, the plump shape with the pointed crest sitting on a bare branch while everything else is white, and the page draws it big and close: round body, crest on top, a short thick beak, feet wrapped around a snowy branch, snowflakes falling all around.
The body is one big rounded shape for broad strokes, the crest is a single pointed triangle for whoever wants the careful part, and the wing feathers are a few curved lines to follow. The branch runs across the page as one long stroke, and the snow sitting on top of it is the one place that can stay white.
Ask what the bird is looking at and where the rest of the flock went. Then put a handful of seed on the windowsill, and the page becomes the bird they wait for every morning until spring.

How to Use This Coloring Page
- Fill the body first. One big rounded shape, one colour, crest the same. It should look like a bird before the branch gets touched.
- Beak and eye next. Small and careful. The beak is a short triangle, the eye is a dot inside a circle.
- Branch last, snow stays white. One long stroke across the page. The snow on top is the shape you leave empty on purpose.
