Flamingo Coloring Page
About This Coloring Page
The flamingo is the tall bird that stands on one leg, which is the first thing every child tries to copy, and the page draws it the way they picture it: a long curved neck, a bent beak, one leg tucked up and one leg down in shallow water, a few reeds, one lily pad and a round sun above.
The body is one big rounded shape for a toddler to fill, the neck is a long curve to trace with a finger before colouring, and the single standing leg is the thin careful line for whoever wants it. The water is a few wavy lines along the bottom and the sun is a circle with rays.
Ask the child to stand on one leg while you count to five. Then ask where the other leg went, and the page becomes a balance game and an animal fact at the same time.

How to Use This Coloring Page
- Trace the neck first. One finger from the beak down to the body. It is one long curve with no corners.
- Fill the body in one go. The big rounded shape, one colour. Neck and head the same so it reads as one bird.
- Leg, water and sun last. One thin line for the leg, wavy lines for the water, a circle with rays for the sun. Then stand on one leg.
