Cement Mixer Coloring Page
About This Coloring Page
The cement mixer is the truck with the part that turns, and that is the whole reason a two-year-old stops to watch one. On the page it is a cab, a big round drum on the back and two big wheels underneath: three shapes a child can name, each one big enough to fill with a fat crayon.
The drum is the page's one big curve, a wide rounded shape with stripes running round it that turn into a pattern the moment two colours take turns. The wheels are circles inside circles, the same shape every truck on this shelf has, and the cab is the box with a window where the driver goes.
Ask what is inside the drum and why it has to keep turning. The answer, that the cement would go hard if it stopped, is the kind of fact a four-year-old repeats for a week, and the page becomes the truck they know something about.

How to Use This Coloring Page
- Do the drum first. One big rounded shape. Take turns with two colours along the stripes and it turns into a pattern on its own.
- Wheels are circles inside circles. Colour the tyre, then the hub. The small inside circle is the careful part.
- Ask why the drum keeps turning. So the cement stays soft. Then ask where the truck is going and what it is going to build.
