Ladybug Coloring Page
About This Coloring Page
The ladybug is the smallest animal a child can name and the only one they are allowed to pick up, and the page draws it big and close: a round body split down the middle, big round spots on each side, a small head with two feelers, sitting on a leaf with a flower beside it.
The two halves of the back are the big shapes for a toddler, one colour each or the same, and the spots are the counting: touch each one, say the number, then colour them a different colour so they stand out. The leaf is one wide shape with a vein down the middle, and the flower petals are small loops for whoever wants the careful part.
Ask how many spots, then ask whether both sides have the same number. That is matching and counting in one question, and the page becomes the ladybug they go looking for on the next walk.

How to Use This Coloring Page
- Count the spots first. Touch each one and say the number. Then count one side and check the other matches.
- Colour the back in two halves. Same colour or different. The line down the middle is the border to stay inside.
- Spots a different colour from the back. So they show. Then the leaf, then the flower, then the feelers last.
