Snowplow Coloring Page
About This Coloring Page
The snowplow is the truck a child hears before they see it, scraping down the street in the dark before school, and the page draws it the way they picture it: one big truck with a wide blade at the front, a light on top of the cab, and a pile of snow curling off the blade onto the side of the road.
The cab is one big boxy shape for a toddler to fill in a single colour, the wheels are circles inside circles like every other truck on the shelf, and the blade is the new shape: a wide curve that a child traces with a finger before colouring. The snow pile and the falling flakes are the open space for whoever wants to cover paper.
Ask where the snow goes once the plow has pushed it, and who gets to climb the pile. The page turns into the morning after a storm, which is the best morning of the year when you are four.
Skills Practiced
How to Use This Coloring Page
- Fill the cab first. One big box, one colour. Finish it and the page already looks like a truck.
- Wheels are circles inside circles. Colour the tyre, then the hub. The small inside circle is the careful part.
- Do the snow pile last. Or leave it white, which is the one time leaving a shape empty is exactly right. Ask who is climbing it.
