Sloth Coloring Page
About This Coloring Page
The sloth is the upside-down animal and the slowest thing on the shelf, and that is how the page draws it: one long rounded body hanging from a branch by all four limbs, a smiling face looking back at you the wrong way up, and long curved claws hooked over the wood.
The body is one big shape for broad strokes, the face is a small circle with a smile for whoever wants the careful bit, and the claws are the counting: three on each hand, three on each foot, which a child will check against their own fingers and find comes out differently. The leaves around it are open shapes for a child who finishes early.
Turn the page upside down to colour the face and the sloth is suddenly the right way up, which is the kind of trick a four-year-old does twenty times. Ask how fast a sloth moves, then ask them to show you, and the afternoon goes quiet.

How to Use This Coloring Page
- Count the claws first. Three on each hand, three on each foot. Then count your own fingers and talk about the difference.
- Do the body in one go. One big rounded shape, one colour. Finish it first so the page already looks like a sloth.
- Turn the page round for the face. Upside down, the sloth is smiling the right way up. Colour the face, turn it back, and it is hanging again.
